16.07.2010 New Envido/MHP e-learning course to raise environmental awareness amongst staff is shortlisted for Sustainable Housing Award.
Training staff is seen as a key component in helping MHP meet its ‘Greener Office’ targets for 2010, which include achieving 10% energy savings, reducing paper use by 50% and recycling at least 40% of all waste. Whilst there is always a place for face-to-face interaction, the cost of delivering this kind of training was seen as a challenge across an organisation like MHP with over 2000 staff, and spread over 40 offices. E-learning as the low-cost staff training solutionEnvido’s e-learning environmental awareness course was the ideal training solution for MHP as it can be delivered easily online and to a number of staff, at low-cost. This interactive and easy-to-use environmental awareness training course takes only 30 minutes to complete and is a proven method for delivering results around behaviour change. MHP launched the e-learning alongside its updated sustainability strategy in April 2010, and has customised the course to communicate specific messages about its own targets, helping to embed a culture of good environmental practice and energy-saving amongst staff. Learners are able to work through a sequence of engaging interactions on each topic and are presented with inspiring ideas on a host of small, easy changes that the individual can start making straight away.
MHP has recently been shortlisted in the Sustainability in Innovation Award category of The Sustainable Housing Awards 2010.
